Mother's are happy everywhere they have their 2nd Amendment rights.

A 4-year-old boy was fatally shot by his 6-year-old brother in East Orange, N.J., on Saturday, the authorities said.

The older boy was playing with his mother’s gun at the family’s third-floor apartment on Norman Street when he accidentally shot his brother in the head shortly after 11 a.m., Connie Jackson, a city spokeswoman, said.

Ten were injured in a California clash with weapons. Why? Because, they were knives. That happens with guns and there's 30 dead.

The biggest issue I find with one of anti-gun arguments is that it claims having a weapon makes you a target. One of the assumptions that it is making is that if you have a weapon, you're going to be out in the open guns-a'blazin'. Any ten-year-old that has played with NERF guns (assuming they're still allowed to manufacture those) could tell you that if you're in the open, you're an easy target, regardless of your weapon status. Find a place to camp out, have some patience, and wait for the good shot.

Insofar as anybody makes that argument (and to be honest I haven't heard anyone make it), it goes something like this. You accidentally interrupt bad guy doing his thing. Without gun: bad guy runs. With gun: bad guy shoots you because you might shoot him.

But like I said, it's not an argument I'd make. My argument is go downtown on any Saturday 'round midnight. Just watch Life's Rich Pageant for an hour. I don't want those people carrying guns.

If you interrupt a bad guy, let him go about his business and give him what he wants.

That's the argument police make. They have a bit of experience in these matters.

That's wrong on so many levels. That's not me saying it. That's my concealed carry instructors. (I've taken classes from different instructors.)

And everyone in the movies has perfect aim and gets nine shots out of a six-shooter.

But, unfortunately many people who think they are going to protect themselves watch movies but do not take classes
