          Do you mean the news directors at the stations or the audience that tunes into the programs? Both could be considered culpable. Think Megan Kelly is to Kepler as ______ is to Average Joe.

              I think Jenn Sterger vs Michelle Tafoya. One used journalism to get in the door. The other was ogled by Brent Musberger (IIRC) and found some doors that opened.
              Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

                    Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

                      It takes something like three weeks for DNA tests to complete, so it'll take a while to know if this is the real deal or not. There have been so many false finds over the past 26 years that it's tough to get excited. The difference this time, though, is that Patty Wetterling isn't taking phone calls. As agonizing as it might seem to those who've followed this case, that could be a really hopeful sign.

                      There's just nothing concrete yet, and won't be for another few weeks.

                          After 27 years of being buried in a grave without a coffin, the only thing remaining would be bones. Upon what information could anyone conclusively state that this is Jacob's remains? DNA takes weeks to test. Until those test results are back, we don't know if it's him or one of thirty kids that monster could have abducted. He's old and facing a long, long prison sentence for abducting another child and child porn charges, so he could have decided to out himself on other cases just to mess with the Wetterlings.

                            There is obviously something that confirms it or Patty would not be going public. I am guessing the killer has a keep sake and something buried with the bones belonged to Jacob. Add in the fact that the killer cooperated and told him where the body was buried and that is enough to call it.

                              This. It was a very specific case, and those other charges (IMO), no matter if true or not, were an excuse to keep the guy on watch/in custody/whatever in relation to the Jacob case. This is a done deal.
