Kirk kissed Uhura. The nation did not collapse (though the show did). Who cares?!

But today's generation seems to have excessively thin skins and seem to take offense to everything they disagree with.

So, Kep -- when does Liz interject herself into the campaign? She's been awfully silent.

I think she keeps her powder dry, then works hard for whoever the nominee is, either naturally backing Bernie or making the best of it with Clytemnestra.

Interesting piece about Sanders' historical precursors.

I think the only thing new is lefties flying off the handle. Righties we have always accepted having a hair trigger when you snub one of their golden calves (cops, the military, religion, etc).

It's like the double standard regarding religion in general. A public figure can talk all day about faith, but good god don't let an atheist talk about their philosophy -- the peasants with pitchforks will be out.

Would she be a hypocrite for supporting Hillary, given that HRC appears to be bought and paid for by Wall Street?

I think it would be hypocritical to support Hillary over Bernie.

It would not in any way be hypocritical to support Hillary over any Republican I know of.

                Bernie's a +10, Hillary a 0, but the GOP is a -10.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XI: the Two Party Problem

                  Good article:

                  http://www.slate.com/articles/news_a..._movement.html

Regarding Warren and Sanders one has to wonder how Lizzy feels when Sanders claims nothing has been done in the wake of the Great Recession, when Warren inspired legislation is now the law of the land (the CFPB). Kinda dismisses everything the woman worked for over the years, no?

I think Sanders would like to be thought of the same way as Elizabeth Warren. I also think that's wishful thinking out of the old coot.

And if Warren were running you'd be saying the same crap about her.

The problem with being so willfully biased is nobody listens to you. All the Bernie people on this Forum have agreed that while we prefer Bernie we will vote for Hillary. You have made no such statement in the reverse. You've just trolled with three or four endlessly repeated statements, none of which seem to make any sense to anybody other than you.

Kep, buddy, who's winning the primary thus far, Bernie or Hillary? Just curious if one glimmer of reality is still getting through to you....

Unlike yourself, who thought Warren would lose to Scottie Brown, formerly the stupidest thing you said out here until you joined the Sanders cult, I saw potential in the woman from the start of that race and was thrilled to vote for her as my Senator and really the heir to the legacy of Ted Kennedy. Warren-Kennedy is a good analogy. Practical liberalism focused on moving the ball down the field even if not in the majority.

BTW, your bias regarding Sanders is as strong or stronger than mine for Hillary. Your holier than thou complex isn't flying. Now why don't you make a few more Nazi references like you did last week?

I'll give you this much. You reflect your candidate perfectly.

By June you'll have your wish and we'll be on the same side. Until then I'm going to accept the advice other posters have given me: you're not sincerely engaging, you're just electioneering. Off to Cloud 8 for a bit.
