15 miles from Ithaca in upstate NY isn't too different from the South. It's not like talk radio is only big in red states. There are huge red swathes of blue states, too. Just as I'm sure there are solid blue college towns and cities in all red states.

That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

I heard Kasich is already backtracking, but this is stark raving stupid. Trump is at 845 delegates, and he's poised to crush it tomorrow in the Northeast. IF he walks out of April with 1000 delegates, the race is over. Consider that he's also going to win the 51 in winner take all New Jersey, and he either captures the nomination outright after he sweeps California or he's so close that some of the unbound delegates get on board to give him the handful of extra votes that he needs. If he wins Indiana it could be over before that.

I don't think it's going to work, but it's a theoretical way to stop Drumpf. I don't see any others.

Which is exactly why I've been saying the Goopers just need to let it ride. Either Trump self destructs, or he's your nominee. No amount of backroom dealing is going to stop that. Only Trump stops Trump at this point.
