That's probably true. Burke is more of a jurist. Meisner was more of a politician and strategist. Your Paul Weyrich.

It looks like the Vatican police busted a drug-fueled gay orgy at a Vatican apartment.

Yeah, that Francis sure is a "liberal commie antipope!" as I hear so often from conservatives.

More than anything, I'd bet, is that these two women just violated their vows as being God's brides to later become each others' brides. They violated a vow to the Church, essentially.

They had already renounced being nuns. Jesus doesn't get to mindf-ck them anymore, they're into the real thing now.

Considering he recently applauded anti-same sex marriage efforts in Mexico, and reaffirmed church doctrine on the matter, it's hardly the only factor.

The orgy news though, just continues to fuel the speculation that Benedict retired after he learned of a big sex scandal within the Vatican, and left Francis to clean-up the mess.

Send them to Ark land? After all Noah's Ark reportedly landed on Mt. Ararat.

If I don't say anything to someone that's going to non-factual park, does that mean I aided in the brainwashing?

Was at lunch with some co-workers and one is very excited for a vacation she's taking next month with her dad and some other family members....to.....the Ark Encounter.
So many things I wanted to say. But she's excited to go on a trip with family. I don't think she ever goes on vacation outside of the state.
I do not have a problem with people practicing their faith. I do have a problem with the young Earth, Creation Museum people and their dinosaurs on Noah's Ark, anti-science perpetuation.

Not really. The brainwashed will stay brainwashed, in fact they'll double down on you.

People who believe in Christian fabulism want to believe in it. It's not an objective scientific argument, it's their identity and their memory of whatever authority figure inculcated them with that tripe. If you give them a fact you are emotionally threatening them. As much as you engage with their head, that's not where those decisions were made.

Let them be; talk to them about the weather; if they insist on dragging it into things give them a timeout.

You can find study after study that this is true regardless of the subject, people will spend a lot of time defending their positions once they've made up their minds. It's something that a former manager of mine used to beat into our heads time and again: Don't let our pre-positioned ideas dictate the facts, let the facts dictate our positions.
