  • USCHO forum skins

When I'm browsing these fora, I seem to be stuck on the mobile skin, with no way out. I've tried changing my preferences. I've tried clicking the "Default Style" link, but all it does it take me to the main forum page with the normal style. Once I click on a forum or a thread I'm back to mobile. I can force the normal style by adding &styleid=-1 to the URL but that's tedious, because it doesn't persist. Any ideas?

Sorry, there's no escaping hell. Just ask others who've fallen.
"The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command." George Orwell, 1984

"One does not simply walk into Mordor. Its Black Gates are guarded by more than just Orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep, and the Great Eye is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire and ash and dust, the very air you breathe is a poisonous fume." Boromir

"Good news! We have a delivery." Professor Farnsworth

If all else fails, maybe there is a plugin/extension for you browser that you could configure to append that query string automagically for board.uscho.com? Seems like something like that should exist

My home laptop has been stuck with that for over a year. Can't be fixed. If I buy a new laptop, I'm hoping that will go away.

It's an idea, but the string has to be appended differently depending on the page and the use of anchors.

I had that problem and had to delete the USCHO cookie. It took a while to find. Numerous other things were reset when I did that, but they weren't hard to fix.

I thought about that, but when I log out the forum claims all cookies are deleted. Maybe not?

Well, I cleared my uscho.com cookies and it didn't seem to work. But then (on a whim) I clicked the "Mobile >>" item at the end of the menu bar and I'm back to the default skin. Thanks for the help.
