    Re: Project Runway!

Didn't the show originally have the models chosen each week by pulling out buttons? I'd swear it used to happen more than just if the winner wanted a change. Although unless your model really messes up, you are better off keeping the same one - just changing while it may be an ego boost for the one you take, she probably will still be a bit wary of your loyality and if you do it multiple times, none of them will really trust you. You want your model to modify her walk if necessary to keep your outfit from messing up, not to show herself the best even if it means that iffy seam comes loose.

I think you are right. I didn't notice that until you mentioned it.

I believe the way it was done before was that the winner of the challenge had the option to keep their model or pick someone elses and then they drew names out of a hat and they picked the models from their on. Most of them kept the same model, except to f--k with other people or if their model sucked, like in the 2nd or 3rd season when they had the crazy model no one wanted.

edit: I think then that the model with the losing designer didn't get eliminated right away. If I remember right, when the designers picked their models whomever was left over was eliminated.

edit #2: is that the proper use of whomever? lol

One nice difference w/ Lifetime - no more moronic polls pimped during the commercials to get eejits to pay money to Bravo to vote. What is wrong with people that they'd spend money on that? I'd love to know how much Bravo makes on those - I'm guessing it is a big moneymaker.

Lifetime seems to be a bit less choppy in the way it covers things. I wouldn't mind if later they took 2 hours to cover everything for one challenge because I want to see more of what is happening when I can keep track of who is who. This early it is a bit confusing. You almost need a guide to figure out who is who. I can't for the life of me remember much about who won this time.

What is with the name Melvin (there was one of the Bravo show too - much odder though)? I checked one of the popular name things and it says it is #124 for guy's names. Why would people do that to their son? Is it one of those things that posers pretending to be hip do, cause that is just cruel.

They actually seem to have some likeable designers on this show. I guess it could change, but it is refreshing.

Dear nutball model? After he dumps you, just who do you think will want to take on your drama.

Perhaps they knew what a strange duck he would be when he was born? I thought for sure they would keep him because he is so wierd. Twice they have kept the kid with the naked model and jetisoned the person I thought they would keep because they added weirdness.

There were actually some cute blimp clothes.

I would have ditched the naked model kid. You need one freak to keep it interesting.

That purple dress was really hideous as well, but that guy was a top 3 last week.

I agree. Naked model guy has had two awful designs in two weeks. How many chances does he deserve? How tough can it be for a designer to make a frekin pair of shorts that fit???

How must it feel to be known as "the Naked Model Kid"?
Next week should be his last.

Although he did call Ra'mon's dress a bowling ball bag and one of the judges said the same thing. Or should we wonder about their (NMK & Ra'mon)relationship and how it will play in future episodes?

The bowling ball dress grew on me. I can't imagine making any type of pants thing for a pregnant person.

Couldn't believe the maternity jumpsuit! or the lack of comments by the judges & others on just how wrong that was.
