Wow, we talk about Baldwin when there's one dead mostly by a massive mistake, and one post about another school shooting in Des Moines- but since only two people died, it's not news.

Hard to bash the mainstream media when people who are already wanting gun control brush over another school shooting.

Yes, then they would have a case of whatever criminal negligence is for a person not an entity.

I just assumed they were prosecuting Baldwin in his capacity as responsible for the film and thus its process and safety. If it's prosecuting him for pulling the trigger that's just wildly, hilariously derp fan service by the DA, unless like you said he brought the bullet. In that event, fine, send him to the gray bar hotel. He'll be running the place in a week.

The argument is it's "sticking it to them libs, hurr har."

I was stunned that he was being charged. Civilly, sure, almost certainly liable. But the criminal aspect is very tenuous. They pay armorers to understand these things. Obviously that doesn't absolve them completely, but again, that's more civil IMO.

Unless it was Alec Baldwin who brought the live ammunition to the range. Then I think the case is less murky.

I'm no political expert, but going after voters who are full gun-toting right wing rubes in New Mexico seems like sort of an odd choice.

I have no idea as to her reasons for charging Baldwin, but I would think it more likely that she is appealing to anti-gun voters than voters upset at Baldwin for mocking Trump
All that is beside the point. District Attorneys inhabit the same derpy world as RWNJ anchors and pundits. They love to project that tough on crime hyperidiocy. It's right wing virtue signaling. Lofo voters elect that kind of crap for some reason, even in Dem states. And it dovetails perfectly with Echo Chamber messaging.

This strategy could make you mayor of even a liberal, diverse city. People are stooopid when it comes to wars and law enforcement.

Even if it were due to him being producer, wouldn't that be more of a civil suit than criminal?

It's not just him being a producer. That means nothing since anyone can negotiate a producer credit in their contract if their name is big enough. They'd have to prove that Baldwin had a hand in making decisions which made the set less safe and led to the incident, which if he did, then like you said by all means let him fry.
