Ok, ok, the almanac only went up to 2000, but the Cubs are just eight wins away from the movie prediction coming true.

They're eight wins from releasing Jaws 19?

Yeah, especially for the ALCS, both teams will see their color when they look into the stands. I like how the away team will resemble the crowd more than the whole team.

I think that ANY team that has Royal Blue as a main color was in the playoffs this year. Saw it floating around the interwebs.

I see the Cubs aren't waiting until the World Series to break everyone's heart.

Rizzo has done jack this series. At least Bryant has the driven the ball, just right at people more often than not.

Cubs are a better team at home, especially offensively, so hopefully they can make a series of it starting Tuesday. Looks like a warm front is moving through which should have the wind blowing out.

                Preface:
I've been a casual Cubs fan for quite a while. This happened back in middle school (late 90s) when my mom organized a lot of the national sales meetings for her company. One year they had the meeting in Chicago and she brought me back Cubs hat. Being an impressionable youth I became a fan. It probably also had something to do with them being somewhat of a National League analogue of the Twins.

                The Story:
This is my favorite Cubs story of all time. It happened at the All-Star Game at Target Field this summer. We were sitting next to a couple of Cubs fans and Anthony Rizzo came up in the 8th. Has two called strikes, a ball, and a foul tip strikeout. The one Cubs fan shakes his head, says, "That's the *******king Cubs for you." Both of them get up and leave.

I almost fell out of my seat I was laughing so hard.

I've shut down Chicago City streets that were narrower than the strike zone tonight in the NLCS.

Well that was your traditional Cubs postseason inning. Give up the leadoff single, let the guy steal third easily one out later, take home on a wild pitch strike 3 that would've been the third out, and then try your ****dest to give up two more but for the Ivy. Then respond with the heart of your order meekly going 1-2-3.
