If it helps, it was in Amazon's equivalent of the bargain bin - $5.

I think I bought Roadhouse for less.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

I bought the Tremors pack (4 movies...sadly the 5th wasn't in there) for $5. Well, actually it was $1. It was buy one used DVD get the second for $1. Think I got Tombstone for $6. So all in all it was 5 movies for $7. Hastings is a great store.

Regarding the Oscar's. I saw all the best picture nominees and some of the others. I did not see Room, but heard the leading actress was really good. I could have seen most of the nominees as the winners. So if you haven't seen any of them, they were all pretty good. The one movie that didn't get nominated but that I thought was good was Trumbo. I remember going to all those pictures he made under another name.

              Bridge Of Spies:

It was good, then it got GOOD. Obviously forgiving the "Disney-fied" moments for Hollywood, but I really loved this movie. 5/5 stars? No, but a solid 4.

                Straight Outta Compton (Director's Cut)

As usual, so superior to the released version. Fills in details to major scenes (which massively helps the casual fan), and some of the added scenes? DAYYYYUMMM.

And of course, Suge needs to have been killed.

Good to know -- was wondering if this version would be worth pursuing.

                    Black Mass:

I had high expectations, which affected my viewing. That being said, I was basically watching and waiting the movie to be over. Not horrible, but really not worth my time. Very disappointed.

London Has Fallen. Pure entertainment and some of the best filmed gunfight scenes I can recall in a very long time. Good time.

                        Finally got around to Spectre.

Shot beautifully. Some good action scenes. Otherwise? Kind of dumb. Like they just scouted a ****load of locations and just didn't know how to use them all to tell a single story.

And don't get me started on how pointless it was to shoehorn Blofeld into it all.

I had the same reaction. I'd read the book a few years ago and enjoyed it immensely -- the movie, not so much. It wasn't bad, but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I enjoyed the book and I thought that the title was just a token reference as the movie was much more focused on Whitey than the book does.

This movie had everything that I am interested in. And....blah. Depp did well, goes without saying. But...it just didn't hook me.
