Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

The movie had so much promise to be corny fun, but Bay just ruined it. The movies from the early 90's were so much better with those guys wearing cheesy costumes. How does Bay continue to get projects?
Have you see how much money his movies make? Hate the movie all you want but t made almost $500 million worldwide. If you quadruple your budget you are going to get lots of projects.

I get that completely, but I just want society to wise up. Seeing Bay's name as director on a movie should be our insect repellent to mosquitoes and not a bug light. For the sake of all that is good and right in the world, we have to wise up.

                    Hackers:

Wow. This did NOT age well. Bunch of hackers uncover a devious plot of robbery via computer, etc, blah blah blah. The plot is tired, and the SFX...well, it's basically the next generation of The Lawnmower Man (great story, also aged HORRIBLY). Lots of (now) recognizable names/actors, that's about the only thing that really stands out. Otherwise average at best.

The Kid With The Golden Arm:

Classic kung fu genre. Gold is being transported, and a gang wants to rob the convoy. Loved it, given for what it was (think: all the sound effects for hits/kicks/etc). There were some good action sequences at the end, and equally redonkulous parts of those sequences. I was thoroughly entertained throughout the movie. Great for a late night or weekend afternoon, just to sit back and eat some popcorn.

You really can't get more 90's out of a movie, can you? Saw this on cable a while back and had the same thoughts...

I don't know, Volcano was pretty cheesy.

It's not that. It's the SFX, the music (which is borderline 80s style), the clothes....and rollerblades as transportation?

It's a timeless classic that was heavily dated the moment it came out.

The story was so boilerplate. Unless a movie greatly p*es me off by being horrible, I'll watch until the end. I kind of wanted to turn this one off, but it didn't reach that threshold.
