Saints drive to the 1. They took a penalty on what was a TD, ran the clock down to :03. The Lions took a timeout they didn't have, and then the Saints scored with a lineman illegally downfield on 4th and goal from the 2. Half over.

That was an absolute goat rodeo, even by Lion standards.

I figured 8-8 at the start of the season due to the post-Suh hangover.

Imagine if a) Joe Lombardi isn't Joe Lombardi and b) either of the Seattle or Green Bay goat ropes don't happen.

If the Fords make the right hires, next year this team will be feisty. Dunno about playoffs, but I wouldn't want to face them in Week 17 with my team's playoff berth on the line.
