What a bunch of pieces of ****.

    Especially this one. King Sh*#thead:
The Republican-dominated North Carolina House delegation all supported Adams’ bill. But on the House floor, after Adams hailed Angelou as “one of our country’s greatest writers, thought leaders and an overall phenomenal woman,” freshman Republican Rep. Grothman of Wisconsin stood to speak.

Calling it “a big decision” to put someone’s name on a post office, he said, “people should investigate Maya Angelou a little bit,” pointing to articles about her in conservative publications such as the American Spectator.

One such article, in the days after Angelou died, said she was “more revered than read” and that she was “survived by her seven autobiographies.”

“At her most irresponsible,” it said, “she embraced Fidel Castro, Malcolm X and Bill Clinton — a mistake for a lady of any age.”

Grothman’s office did not respond to requests for comment.

I just want to punch that face so hard.

Classic example of GOP Mefirstthink. This plays great for a handful of Members with their constituents who want to stick one in the Commie Pinko eye of Castro, but the rest of the country sees them pushing a nice old black lady down the stairs. Spectacularly stupid optics. If the party had any discipline or structure those nine runts would be cleaning out the cloakroom lavatory with toothbrushes, but there is nothing now to prevent one Member from hurting the overall party for his own selfish gain.

Paul Ryan should bring this Grothman out back and beat him with a hose. Tell him to stop besmirching their state and office. Wisconsin totally caught me off guard when I saw the list of congressmen who voted no. I know Wisconsin is a bunch of thinner-drinking deer-****ers, but they are also somewhat pragmatic about things like this.

I can't believe I'm defending Wisconsin and Paul Ryan.

Wisconsin has jumped the shark. They're no longer a pragmatic progressive state. With Ron Johnson as Senator and Walker as Governor they've jumped over the line into full Kansas mode.

They haven't been Minnesota-like in quite a while. Decades. You never see cities in Wisconsin as "best places to live". You see many from Minnesota. Every year.

And it is only getting worse now that they have destroyed the education system there. I mean (supposedly) professors in the UW system are actively telling HS seniors not to go to the in-state schools...let that sink in. (cause anyone who has talked to a Sconnie grad knows they think of themselves as Michigan with different colors)

Wisconsin with Walker is the perfect microcsym of Right Lead politics today. Trickle down and Supply Side has turned it into Kansas-lite. Difference is Walker is not nearly as crazy as Brownback, he is just a nimrod with the charisma of a fork.

As they say when the plot thickens, the plot thickens...

Playing with the election map, if those four seats did happen to fall, we could be looking at Dem 54-46 or an 8 seat pickup:

                          D->R: none
R->D: NV, FL, NH, WI, IL, IA, MO, NC.

If we want to back off based on Sabato's ratings, taking the safe R off the board only loses us IA (53-47); while taking the GOP leaners off drops MO and NC (51-49).

Basically, the obstruction probably won't cost the GOP the Senate -- it would come into play in driving a majority of 2 up to one as high as 8.

Also keep in mind that this is the comical class of 2010. If the GOP does screw Drumpf, the Tea Party falloff could be decisive.
