Oh right, because a first person witness's account isn't credible. That's why they require such a thing for a murder conviction.

I hope you are joking. That woman committing suicide would be stealing the rapist's property.

As I said, were it reversed (let's say, religious school beats woman for mentioning "abortion" in class) you would naturally (1) assume 100% probability of truth and (2) assume it held for 100% of all occurrences past, present, and future.

I told you before, never make assumptions or inferences about me. Sister uses the ruler for a lot of things in said school. Doesn't mean it was used for abortions. One thing that IS true, though, is that Planned Parenthood rewards workers on the number of abortions they commission. The award has been given, that's a proven fact. If you want to use the beginning-of-time argument that it couldn't possibly happen, that's your prerogative. I'm not saying that PP necessarily has quotas in that line, but if they're pushing killing a child over anything else, there's a problem. It's exactly what Dr. Day warned us when it comes to population control.

So you can demand that a man pays child support, but he has absolutely zero say in the life of that child? THAT is theft.

                    .

Political groups with an extreme agenda took to social media this week to claim they’ve found proof that Planned Parenthood has “quotas” for how many abortions the organization should provide. The entire basis of their claim was a photo of a certificate that Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains gave to a health center for increasing its abortion services – which these groups blasted as “sickening” and “appalling.”

… As a nonprofit health care provider, our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable health care and education to as many people as possible. We aim to expand access to all of our services, and we commend our dedicated, passionate staff when they succeed in reaching more people who need care.

The organizations and individuals who have spent the last week trying to gin up a controversy about this have one agenda: To restrict women’s access to reproductive health care, including safe and legal abortion, birth control, and sex education. That’s their stated goal, so it’s no surprise that they’re “sickened and appalled” by the idea that more women are able to make their own decisions about pregnancy and have access to safe and legal abortion services.

Nobody does more than Planned Parenthood to prevent the need for abortion. We are proud to provide sex education and birth control to so many people. We are also proud to provide abortion services to women who have made the decision to end a pregnancy.

… So, no, we don’t have quotas. And, yes, we absolutely do celebrate our progress in ensuring that more people have access to the full range of reproductive health care, including abortion. And we always will.

In all honesty I probably make more assumptions. It's a bad habit, reinforced by the experience of several of our less, um, intellectually rigorous posters who simply spew whatever they're told by talk radio.

One thing I should know about you: you aren't that guy. (Unless the station is tuned to Alex Jones. )

Actually, lemme ask you candidly: how much of Jones do you think is straight, and how much is The Thrill of High Weirdness? As a fan of Robert Anton Wilson and the Discordians, I can quite understand the latter.

Mrs. Dr. Women's Studies Professor Kepler says "if she knows he doesn't want it and she has the option of an abortion and she does not exercise it, then he should not be able to make her carry the baby but she should not be able to make him pay child support." MDWSPK is actually quite adamant about it; far moreso than I.

Yeah, that's fair. But, personally I don't care if the entire law is slanted the women's direction.
