Yet another chapter in the "stupid move Charlie Weiss" chronicle.

Or maybe he wanted to dream the impossible dream?

WHo knows. The Bears are only WRs shy of a decent offense. Might've been a better choice to get back to winning.

Did the Bears offer the job to Weiss?

Also, if the team isn't playoff bound immediately, a job under Lovie Smith is only one year.

Cassel and Charles are two playmakers, one more good draft could really help out Weis. The guy knows the offensive side of the ball, he's just a terrible HC.

Maybe the Bears' video recording equipment wasn't up to Charlie's standards.

It appears the Seahawks will be going after Pete Carroll to be their new head coach.

                    Interesting.

They're going to have to offer him the vault to get him out of USC.

They're offering him a chance at the NFL and the power over personnel decisions.

That's considered the vault for a coach. Oh and uncapped year+Microsoft billionaire= instant competitiveness.

Fine, but they're probably going to have to back a Brinks truck up to his house as well. He's done this dance before with the Jets. He can command whatever he wants, or he can stay in L.A. He's not exactly in a bad spot, no matter what his decision is.

I've read 5 years at $7 mil/year. Is that in the ballpark? If so, that qualifies as a Brinks truck in my book.

If this is the case, I don't blame him one bit if he jumps ship. One big last cash grab near the end of the road. He's, what, in his mid-50s?

                                He'll be 60 next May.

This is less about the Brinks truck. This is about him believing he can show everyone he can be a good NFL coach.
