I still can't believe no other team ever tried going for the 31-point conversion in the past 100 years.

Because there's no way - NO WAY - that a feisty Jets team could ever beat a Colts team with a legendary quarterback in a championship game.

They can...I didnt say the Jets would win, just dont think it is as big a lock as some people seem to. I think the game could go either way that is all I am saying.

No one is guaranteed to win or lose but if I was a betting man, it would be on Peytons team, in Peytons house.

Right...because the Jets cant beat any good teams...like the chargers who had won 10 in a row and were the hottest team in football.

    Thanks for reminding me...

This will seem like second-guessing, but if you kick deep, with one timeout and the two-minute warning, as long as you prevent 10 yards in three (almost guaranteed) running plays, you get the ball back with about 1:10 left, right?

Instead they give the Jets four downs, because they're not going to kick from that field position. Seems like a pretty straightforward coaching blunder. I thought that's why it was so important to dump Schottenheimer.

Jets hung around and waited for the mistake, and Rivers delivered. Kaeding should be shot but the whole team deserves its share of the blame pie. And the Jets surely deserve a lot of credit.

If only the goalposts were as wide as the end zone.
