Add Ohio as another state to boycott.

I'm sure our local conservatives will tell us we're all just being "hysterical."

I agree with the idea for women (and men in solidarity) to refuse to visit these states on business or do business with companies based there. Make it hurt. Get commerce on our side. Drive the orcs into the sea (er, tire fire?).

IMO, boycott threats are stupid and do not really add anything to the discussion. It's like when Freepers brag about not having cable TV, or how they fired that one smug liberal employee after Obama won in 2008, or other such "Boy, I sure owned them libs!" nonsense.

That being said, I would definitely not pull up roots and permanently move to any of these states.

Boycott threats are stupid. Boycotts themselves can work; it's happened. They are a form of people power and in a world where strikes don't work because workers don't matter they may be our best option. A consumer strike hits the 1% where they live and the 1% runs our government.

The problem with boycotts isn't the theory, it's how to do it effectively.

And in Ohio, they're looking to ban BIRTH CONTROL.

Why is that surprising? They believe women are nothing but sperm reciepticals here to make babies.

Right because the republican senator assumes that pharmaceutical companies will just somehow magiacally reformulate the pill.

Birth control pills, IUDs and other methods of birth control like that – the bill states that any birth control that could act to stop a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus is considered an abortion under this bill," Miracle says.

                      Yes it does.

I wanted to do the Air Force Marathon in Dayton this year. With crap like this, though... if I pass through Ohio in my car, I better hope I don't run out of gas. I don't want to give Ohio a single dime of my money.

Those are the only forms of birth control?

                            Wow.
There are less than a handful of reasons as to why one would feel the need to split that hair, and none of them are a good look.

I don't agree with the provision AT ALL - I simply stated one comment was a bit disingenuous. Has there been anything in my posting history that would suggest I'd be in favor of what they're trying to do here? How about just say, "Ok you're right they're not trying to ban all birth control, but what you do think of this proposal?" instead of overly sensitive whining about my fact checking?

No, just the most commonly used ones.
