Try the mature version of the Hit-Girl trailer. Totally NSFW.

Same one I saw. To be honest though I was being pretty facetious. I will definitely rent this as I don't see anyone I know wanting to see in the theaters.

Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

I finally saw Dances with Wolves. I mean, I knew what it was about, the story, but I hadn't taken the time to see it since it kept slipping my mind. The directors cut is 236 minutes long, 4 minutes shy of 4 hours. Never really dragged, but it didn't have much of a conclusion. No giant battle, no big revelation, it just sort of wanders off and ends.

All the little details and treatment of the Lakota were great. I did hear that they goofed on the language, having all the men speak with the feminine version. The buffalo hunt was absolutely incredible. The soldiers seemed a little too obviously evil. Sure they're probably bored out of their minds and worked up over possible attack, but they were total p*cks.

When the officer who assigns Dunbar to his post freaks out and shoots himself, I couldn't help but think how random and out of place it felt.

It really reinforced how much Avatar is based off of it, there are differences, and it's not an exact copy. But Cameron must have been reading the book/watching the movie when he came up with Avatar.

Yeah, I could see where it could be said that Avatar is just Dances with Wolves with just ten foot tall indians who ride flying horses. Just got back from seeing it in IMAX 3D and I highly recommend it. Its a visual feast for the eyes. I did kinda think that the 3D did take a little getting used to, but that could have just been from sitting on the edge of the theature, not right in the middle. I'll admit, the plot does have some holes in it, like how they never quite explained why the Human's can't breath Pandora's atmostphere even though there's a lot of plants around that would most likely be pumping out a lot of Oxygen. But eh, if you look hard enough at nearly any movie, you're going to find something not quite right with it. Very fun movie to watch.

Or they could be pumping out another gas that doesn't work for humans to breath in. I believe they mentioned why shortly after Jake arrived on the planet.

Well, if you want an entertaining story about counting cards, this is your movie. Spacey is awesome in it, of course.
                          I wasn't impressed with 21 at all.
Way too predictable, and those hand signals were so juvenile that they might have worked against 5th graders...not in a real casino.

Yep. I mean, it IS based on a true story, but as I said, the HIST Channel documentary on it is much much better (and equally entertaining).

                              The Machinist:

I really liked it, but I think I would have liked it even more had I not saw "Fight Club" and "Identity" (Cusack and Liotta star in the latter) in the past, since "The Machinist" borrows heavily from a couple concepts in those movies. You could kind of tell where this movie was headed due to that.

(insert standard compliments on Bale's acting)

His weight was disgusting. I thought I was skinny. Holy crap.

I still really recommend it, it is a good story, and it's well-acted by everyone in the movie. For those who watch these types of movies, you will notice little details that help you piece together the ending/etc.

The dark lighting (or rather, grayish?) lighting in the movie really adds to the dark feel of the movie, also. I liked that quite a bit.

Unfortunately, I wanted to watch another movie tonight, but this one kinda killed the mood for it, as I find myself digesting the story more than I thought I would. Some of you know what I mean (see: movies like "Monster's Ball," "The Wall," "No Country For Old Men," etc).
