FACT! Saw him in New Jersey last year or so and it was friggin' phenomenal. I'm ticked I didn't wear my Gretzky jersey to the thing because he was just getting into his Gretzky-worship phase and I probably would've got pulled on stage.

I saw him like 6 years ago on campus at U of M and nearly died laughing. He was at the student union and the bowling alley is right above the auditorium so when he heard som e people bowling he stopped mid sentence and said "what was that, is there a friggin bowling alley here...what the **** happened to my career I am playing in a bowling alley?!?!" He referenced it a lot. He also talked a lot about his script for Superman, Joey Lauren Adams and how he loves Minnesota because they let him film Mallrats at the Eden Prairie Center

A Night With Kevin Smith does indeed rule (and all of its "sequels"). Hilarity. I love the Superman story, and obviously I have a special place for the Prince story.

Kevin Smith is a fun guy to shoot the **** with. An ex of his went to CMU long before I did and we had a good 10-15 minute conversation about Pittsburgh, CMU, etc.

He definitely appreciates fans too, because he *is* a fan so he gets it.

The second "Evening With" sucked as a DVD...I used to work with a relative of Prince and he loved the stories about Prince and basically confirmed it all which made me smile

Plus the DVDs are edited...seeing him unedited just ramble on about anything is ten times as awesome! He told a story about being stuck on a plane and being forced to watch Sweet Home Alabama that had us all rolling on the floor!

I thought All Saints Day was a complete failure. I thought it was a mockery of the first one and really tarnished everything that was great about the first one.

The only part that was even slightly interesting to me was the end. But, other than that. Major bore and I just found myself laughing at how poorly done it was and how they tried to force it on you with references to the first one.

It was just a very very poor showing. Bad acting, cheesy lines, cheesy characters, bad cameras...

It's never good when movies keep getting put off for years like All Saints Day was...They should have just left the original be a stand alone because honestly the second one completely ruined it for me.

Saw Clash of the Titans and enjoyed it a lot. There is some dialogue that was meh, but I think it's getting an unfair amount of hate from critics. It seemed to take a lot of influence from God of War, and honestly I think it's better than the original.

Medusa was great. That always bugged me about the original, she was just sooo slow, that it was hard to think that a group of soldiers wouldn't have been able to just overwhelm her. Here she was probably the most dangerous being. I believe she takes out six of the group. Calibos got about 3 (not as good a character design as the original), and the scorpions only got 2 iirc. Although the one guy the scorpion kills by repeatedly stabbing him with the stinger was awesome.

                Bubo showing up was great.

I thought it started slow, but got better when the British rocker guy appeared after that guy's first scene in Hawaii.

I liked it...But maybe that had more to do with the eye candy in Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell.

I do like the eye candy, but I still think "Jackie" when I see Kunis, and that's annoying.

And halfway through it. It's still not better. Goddam my (mostly) insistance of watching a movie through.

saw it in 3D, thought it was pretty good...not too scary for kids in case parents were wondering...I wouldn't have cast Liam Neeson in that role and instead would have gone for a no-name...they didn't need a big name in that role. 3D didn't subtract from the movie as I feared it might

Ok this last half of Sarah Marshall is making the first hour of torture worthwhile. The dual *ing scene is the topper to the sequence previous.

                                And a Cornell reference.

For Best Picture I was either for that or Avatar. Up in the Air has a very strong plot and acting, but then Avatar had the really awesome effects. In the end it depends on which factor go more strongly into the concept of "best picture".
