Your Political Stance - 2014 Edition

So, I joined reddit 2 months ago. Since then I have joined and been almost immediately permabanned by 5 different Leftist subs (r/socialism, r/cpusa, r/communism, r/askphilosophy, r/alltheleft) for, among other things, pointing out the PRC commits human rights abuses and that Russia, in 2021, is not a socialist country.

I'm not sure the Far Left in this country is serious.

I'm not sure reddit is the place to make this assessment...

Well that is really, really, really depressing. How can you believe in a movement for human flourishing and universal justice and then boot out everybody who disagrees with one word of dogma?

I think it's what jerphisch is getting at. DOn't take what the people running the subs say. They rose to the top the same way idiots like Trump did. Heavy-handed fealty at the core.

wrt the actual subs, it doesn't surprise me in the least. THe people who hang out in the socialism and CPUSA subs are almost certainly Putin sycophants and almost certainly say crap like "US MEDIA IS ALL PROPAGANDA". They're lazy and will never offer any proof of this. No different than "((The Media))" on the right.

I haven't been kicked off any reddit sub now for months.

Of course, I also don't go to the ideological ones anymore. The closest I come is r/badphilosophy which certainly has a Continental/Marxist orientation, but since it's like r/BadReads in that it is devoted to roasting really awful cases of superficial critique, and since they have a wicked sense of humor especially about themselves, I haven't gotten myself purged yet.
