I half expect them to win game 1. After all, that October game is the most important.

Umberger's $4.6 mil/yr contract only has three years left, and his NTC is limited starting this year, so they could potentially dump his salary on someone else in another year if he's really awful.
I got a call from my account executive from the Blue Jackets today. Umberger wanted out and the team is very excited about Hartnell. They were calling season ticket holders to make sure they knew about the deal and get feedback on the schedule.

TCF would have better sightlines, IMO. More intimate, even after the Vikings' additions to the stadium, etc. Plus it's right next to Mariucci, and from what I hear, MN wants to have the Hockey Day In MN tie-in with the pro outdoor game.

Think about that: catch one game, walk across the street to the other game(s). I have to admit, that'd be cool.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

From my experience at the Detroit festivities, I found that the set up is just overall better in a football stadium, anyways. The rink takes up most of the field (maybe 20 yard line to opposite 20, or there abouts), and the seating is arranged accordingly.

While the upper infield decks at a baseball stadium offer a decent view, the field level is pretty bad.

I feel it's a cool thing to do once if you have a rooting interest, and I might do it again if Detroit is in another, but it would have to be in a football stadium.

Agreed, the sightlines for the GLI games sucked balls.

Didn't see anyone posting here yet - as far as I'm concerned, not a bad selection in the Class of 2014. Still sad that Burns wasn't selected before he passed.

Goaltender Dominik Hasek of the Czech Republic and Swedish center Peter Forsberg were joined by American center Mike Modano, along with defenseman Rob Blake, coach Pat Burns and referee Bill McCreary.

They're still missing the leading scorer from the draft class of 1975.

Kane and Toews looking to become super rich after next season. Will the Hawks have to get rid of players or maybe lose one of them to stay under the cap?
