You still have the choice to find an employer or employment that meets your needs (economic, insurance), don't you?

I expected the first case to be filed before 2014 (and lost).

But, would she have to sue the employer or Mr. Obama (because it's not mandated under Obamacare).

You'd have to sue an employer that doesn't offer certain types of birth control based on religious reasons but does cover Viagra or the one with the people in the bathtubs...

I actually expected more out of the three of you.

People on the right rail against social welfare. People on the left rail against corporate welfare. But only a fool refuses to play by the rules in place. Are we to believe the Kennedys, Rockefellers and other wealthy Democrats don't have skyscrapers full of lawyers and CPAs looking for ways to take advantage of every single tax break available?

Silly comments, even for purposes of trolling, detract from legitimate arguments.

Uh, I assume you're being facetious; however, I live in North Dakota: the "help wanted" ads here are the largest section of the newspaper.

Few Democrats out of the total take advantage of corporate welfare. Most Republicans out of the total take advantage of social welfare. Again, your CNN-like false equivalency doesn't apply here.

Yeah, those white freedom riders were "fools."

You are talking total bullshit. If you are principled enough to grab a soap box and bleat about how such-and-such a federal program is OH NOES SO TERRIBLE FOR THE MORAL FIBER OF AMERICA'S BACKBONE, then live by your own edicts and opt out of benefiting from that program. Show some moral courage.

Not everybody calibrates their actions to their highest expected monetary value. Whether on the left or the right, many people are better than that. Just because you aren't, don't try to drag the rest of the world down to your insect's-eye view of the ethical world.

You expect me to pay out of pocket for my health care when my employer chosen option is cheaper yet you chastise me for pointing out your hypocrisy in accepting Medicare? ROTFLMAO.

My response is that your view, and apparently Kepler's, is BS. But go ahead, you want to keep believing that guys like David Geffen or 80% of Hollywood, the Clintons, and others don't take advantage of every tax loophole out there, be my guest.

You seem to be struggling with the concept of "most". So, let me help you. "Most" Democrats aren't in Geffen or Clinton's income bracket. Therefore, "most" Democrats aren't benefiting from corporate welfare. With me so far? Good.

"Most" as in a majority of, Republicans are collecting social welfare (SoS, Medicare/Medicaid, unemployment, etc).

That means Dems against corp welfare aren't benefiting from it for the most part, while Repubs whining about social welfare are the same people with both hands out. That's why red states get more federal dollars than they pay in, while Dem states donate more than they get back. Now do you get it?

My point was to use Medicare to show him the absurdity of his logic. He says businesses shouldn't be "forced" to pay for another person's medical care. Conveniently ignoring we are all forced to do many things we otherwise wouldn't want to do.

I wasn't seriously saying he should forego Medicare.
