Putin sees a series of capitulations to his demands, one after another, while he offers nothing substantive in return throughout. yet that pattern, that series, one after the other, doesn't lead to anything further?

The question then is, why when your hero GWB was President, did Putin invade his other neighbor, Georgia???? Didn't I in one post just destroy your credibility on this issue, no?
PS - I think your nostalgia for the Cold War might be getting mixed up in your nostalgia with being a bit younger and less bitter. I'm here to tell you those two things aren't related - if the Cold War returned, you wouldn't suddenly get any younger and any more fun to be around.Legally drunk???? another version of the "domino theory" in reverse.....
edit: I have every belief that if Putin wanted to make missle rain on a country a shield won't do much... BUT... it does up Putin's price. If that price increase keeps others free I'm all for it.Last edited by Patman; 04-19-2014, 11:20 AM.BS UML '04, PhD UConn '09

Sounds like this Boko Haram group is getting a bit out of control. First the kidnappings and now they killed 300+ in a massacre at an open market. They came in with three armored personnel carriers and opened fire. Then decided to burn people alive in the businesses where they were hiding.
I'm thinking a couple of well-placed Tomahawks wouldn't be such a bad thing here. Not to get involved in another "war" but at some point you need to step up.Code:As of 9/21/10: As of 9/13/10: College Hockey 6 College Football 0 BTHC 4 WCHA FC: 1
