I was told Canadians don't have or use guns. Must be an American causing trouble.

No coincidence that Malala Yousafzai was to receive honorary Canadian citizenship today.

Leafs are in the Chateau Laurier. Game with the Sens tonight will likely be cancelled.

Some reports are saying one of the shooters is dead and another has either been shot or is still on the loose. But from the sounds of it, there were multiple shooters being reported in the chaos.

What the hell is going on back home????

Gunshots rang out at Canada's Parliament building Wednesday, with one soldier guarding the nearby National War Memorial shot and a gunman possibly on the loose just days after a terror attack in Quebec shook the nation, officials said.

Shots were reported inside the building, in Ottawa, and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper was whisked away to a safe location as Royal Canadian Mounted Police converged on the complex in a hunt for the shooter, who was described as having long, black hair and toting a rifle or shotgun. Bernard Trottier, a Toronto-area MP, tweeted that the gunman inside Centre Block "has been shot and killed” but that could not be confirmed.
