Re: The Global War on Terror 5.0: Putin on the Risk
Some things never change, I guess....From before many of y'all were born:
World War II came about without provocation. It came because nations were weak, not strong, in the face of aggression. Those same lessons of the past surely apply today. Firmness based on a strong defense capability is not provocative. But weakness can be provocative simply because it is tempting to a nation whose imperialist ambitions are virtually unlimited.
We find ourselves increasingly in a position of dangerous isolation. Our allies are losing confidence in us, and our adversaries no longer respect us.

So the "pumpkin" is just used as a thickener to hold all the spices together?

Pumpkin Pie has always been my fave.
War in the Middle East continues to be a waste of money. Add Ayotte to the list of people wanting boots on the ground.

Pumpkins used for jack-o-laterns are not the same pumpkins used for making pies. The pie pumpkins are smaller, less stringy, and generally sweeter than those you'll see people carve for Halloween. There are a few varieties of pumpkin that can be used for pies, including some squash varieties. After that they're usually so spiced and sweetened that they likely taste only slighly like the base inputs used.
