The Galaxy have a match on Monday against Seattle. I think it was part Arena rested guys and part LA, honestly, sucks.
I think it's more LA sucks.
Looking at the lineup changes from their last match on Saturday only Donavan and Opare were subbed out. Some guys changed positions a bit (moving inside or outside) but 9 of the 11 guys were the same as the game against KC.

The second half LA had 9 players on the field from their USL reserve team.
But yeah the classic "Bruce Arena Bunker n' Counter" is how LA plays and, well, it hasn't been working well.

Re: World Soccer XXV - the run up to the World Cup
People look at that score and will say that's why the MLS will never catch up. Of course, they'll ignore that Seattle tied Tottenham and that an NASL Minnesota team beat Swansea.
Not that I take any stock in the results. I don't think MLS will catch up anyway, but a friendly result doesn't instill merit for either side of the argument. One side doesn't care because it's just warm-up games, the other side is in-season and probably playing bench players or reserves, and neither side wants to get injured. They're even worse than FIFA friendlies, because at least those games have rankings attached to the result (that's debatable if they should). The club friendlies are just for money.

Yeah these games are just money grabs. They're not necessary in any way, they can be detrimental because the MLS teams have league games this weekend. Like I said, LA plays Seattle on Monday so they rolled a second string lineup in the second half.
The problem is, whether or not the result matters competitively, people, in this country especially, will still look at it and say "well MLS still sucks, not worth my time." And that's not good.

I will say it was a really dumb move for Sporting KC to play a friendly. They only have to play in the CONCACAF Champions League in a month or so with an already congested MLS schedule coming up too. Might want to use the time rest up next time.

Yup. Count that cash while they scrape through their CL group and end up drawn against Pachuca in the Quarters, lose the Supporters Shield race by 5+ points, and get eliminated by New England in the playoffs.

After 3 home losses in the last month, one against Chivas, I'll take it.
