At his graduation ceremony from the U of Minnesota, my cousin got a keychain. When asked what UW gave her for graduation, my sister said, "A degree from a University that matters."
Does MLS really need to have a second team in the greater LA area?? I would think MLS would have better offers out there if the option to move the club to another city, say like a Las Vegas, St. Louis, Detroit, or a Nashville perhaps? I would at least want to leave that option out there to see how bad somebody else really wants MLS.
bueller: Why is the sunset good? Why are boobs good? Why does Positrack work? Why does Ferris lose on the road and play dead at home?
It just happens.
nmupiccdiva: I'm sorry I missed you this weekend! I thought I saw you at the football game, but I didn't want to go up to a complete stranger and ask "are you Monster?" and have it not be you!

I think an actual, well run club could work as a second team in LA.
I'm just a little upset that there won't be an obvious doormat here on the West Coast. Looks like the Norris Division is gonna get tougher...

Two great tweets by Garry Kasparov

5 of Russia's 13 golds in Sochi were won by an American & a South Korean?! Appropriate for the Putin Games. Buy the Games, buy the medals!

Using this model, Russia should have a great team as host of 2018 World Cup. Messinov, Ronaldovich, Rooneychuk...

is anyone else disgusted that the Nike logo is as big as the USA logo?
Cornell '82
"The first time I went to a Cornell game, I was in awe. I'm a big believer that sports fans should get out and see everything -- the Indy 500, the Super Bowl, the Kentucky Derby. I've seen all that, and there's nothing like Lynah Rink." - Carl McKee, father of Cornell Goalie, David McKee

Not really, because that's just kind of the way it is on soccer shirts. Even back in the day, before the shirts became a canvas for sponsor and equipment manufacturer logos, team crests were always fairly small on the top left chest, not like we're used to seeing on hockey or baseball jerseys here. So I guess Stockholm Syndrome really has set in for me.
