    • The Angel's Envy Finished Rye is safely extracted from Minnesota and is currently in my basement. I had a sampling and it's as unique and interesting as I found it to be last night.

Got their last bottle as one had been bought earlier today.

      Happy for my score!

Kep - it's too hard and rum is too broad for me to answer your question.

Are you looking for something to mix with cola or something to sip? Do you like sweet rum or drier rum? What's your budget? What's available in your area?

If it isn't obvious, the above suggestions were trolls.

Enjoying an Expedition Stout right now, been sitting in my fridge maybe 8 months or so, I guess. Much, mellower I guess, than fresh off the shelf. Good way to put this year in the rear-view.

          Drive-by.

Jameson 12 here. Chillin' with the bro and nieces.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

            Btw...

Andy's Liquor in Rochester, MN is a solid... SOLID store.

Great selection of the higher end stuff. Had their own custom blend of the AE Bourbon as they bought a barrel and had it blended to their specifications on sight. I didn't buy that as I already have a bottle and the whole not really caring for bourbon thing...

            Still pretty cool though.

Gonna remember that when I have to head down there for a holiday (have some family down there).

Childhood buddy was visiting last weekend, and we split a bottle of it, since I had an extra. He loved it, and agreed that in a year or two.....hooboy that gonna be good.

Still have two bottles, and it's STILL readily available in stores. That style is apparently not popular.

Byerly's in Ridgedale has about a dozen bottles still. Other stores around me have multiple bottles for sale.

Back to a discussion from a few pages back, up at the tourney when we were out, the first night I had one beer with some pizza and we called it a night early. Had a headache most of the next day.

The next night, I had 4 Gosling/Cokes with dinner (awesome rare sesame encrusted tuna) and 4 Crown/Cokes at the bar and then a pour of the AE rye to end the night. Felt absolutely fine the next day.

                          Go figure.

Good haul so far this trip. 4 pack of BCS, Central Waters Barrel-Aged stout, Bells Expedition Stout, St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout.

Have drank a BCS, Darkness 2014, and Eight so far.

Thinking about picking up a sixer or two of that Bell's. It's pretty common to find right now.

I wasn't trolling. I like Kraken well enough and think it'd be a really good "gateway" rum, in the same way that "craft-y" beers like Blue Moon or Shock Top are a good way for consumers of mass-produced swill to get introduced to better types of products.
