Re: The Official "Fire the College Football Coach" Thread

Paul Johnson doesn't deserve to be fired, but he's going to be pilloried for calling four consecutive passes at the end of the loss to the Georgia last night. I know they're expecting the triple option, but that's no reason to suddenly confuse Nesbitt with Tom Brady (even if the drop on fourth down was Caldwellesque).

I will still take Johnson over any PC coach not named"Mullaney", "Gavett", "Pitino" or "Lamoriello" - maybe even Coach Nutty in his prime. I don't think the people in Atlanta are quite so forgiving... I just hope they can forget about that in time to focus on Clemson next week...

It would be ideal if ND could demote Weis to OC/recruiter, but naturally that isn't the way it works.

Sounds like Bowden will "retire" from Florida State after this season.

Announced it this morning. They gave him an offer he couldn't refuse (go or be pushed).

Re: The Official "Fire the College Football Coach" Thread

I would like my school to find a coach that breaks records in a good way....not the awful crap Rich Rod has done.

I understand he's only had 2 seasons to prove himself here, but I'm sick of hearing things like "Michigan lost x number of games in a row for the first time in x years" or whatever.

And yes, I realize no one will feel sorry for the Michigan fan (except for other Michigan fans)

Exactly. CU is a bunch of one hit wonders and they even had to share that NC with Georgia Tech.
