As we all know, NOTHING in any sport can top OT hockey in the playoffs.


The first year my son's team (pee wee) won state (I was a coach, so on the bench), we had to win a preliminary game in 2 OTs and the state championship game went 3 OTs.

It's just as gut wrenching at any level coz the stage may be smaller, but I had more personally invested.


Hockey = Simply the Best

All in all, very equal game... Very good game as well... It'll be interesting to see how the teams react to this... Both teams played hard and clean tonight... If the rest of the series is played at this level, I'll be happy...

I haven't been through an overtime wringer like that since the UW/Cornell 3OT regional game in 06.

I'm worn out.

Boston's gotta feel like they let one get away there as they had WAY too many great opportunities in the OTs.

Pfffffft. SLU vs BU 4 OT thriller back in 2000. Poor Maine and Michigan players had a 4 hour stretch and warm up before their game.

It may only be game one, but I believe it would have hurt the Hawks a lot to lose that.

That was a flat out thievery. Boston had more high quality chances imo.

I was as well. Derek Gustafson's career peak. Hell, Gusto only played a few games in the NHL. Although I guess the same could be said for Dipietro .
