It is 95 degrees and WICKED humid in Boston right now. Look for the ice to be a slushy.

Not sandbagging, just going with my gut. The Bruins win a one goal game tonight. We're going to 7.

Bruins rink operator has the doors open and the brine temp up looking to slow the Hawks.

What he didn't say is that he has a concussion and doesn't know what he is saying. He probably thinks it's a poker game being played tonight--or being it's Toews, canasta or whist or something.

It'll be interesting to see what Towes and Bergerion actually bring to the table tonight... Both are key cogs in each team's gameplan...

Given that I am going out to a sports bar to watch the game tonight, which is something I never ever do, the Blackhawks will win tonight. [/ultimate sandbag]

In all honestly, I think Bergeron may get a shift or two but won't be a factor and the Bruins will just be overmatched, slushy ice or not.

The ice will be soft, there's no way around that. I've played on some pro ice a couple times, and it's not good for a fast game. This ice will look too much like the Buffalo/Dallas finals back in 99 (2000?) given the temps in Boston today.

And it is plenty cool in North Station. Not cool enough that I want to put on my Bruins jersey yet, but definitely not the 95 we experienced outside. It should be fine inside. Wish I was going but we'll be watching from the Fours

                            • 3 Boston police officers just came in in the Fours, had an appetizer and lots of water and are now back on Causeway Street helping with crowd control. They got more than a few pats on the back when they came in. Never saw the waitress bring them a bill either. Someone picked up their tab or it was on the house.

Sitting just around the corner from me is the family of Brad Marchand and Tyler Seguin's family is still waiting for a table! Hope they eat fast!

Cable keeps flickering in/out here at the house... We had a storm roll though about 30 min ago... Gotta make a decision to hit the road or not for the game...
