I agree with this completely. I just often see HIV infection as a way people use to demonize homosexuality. I think it would be best (for people who choose) to demonize high risk behaviors instead of a sexuality.

I am in no way saying you (or others) are demonizing homosexuality, just having a conversation.
In the immortal words of Jean Paul Sartre, 'Au revoir, gopher'.

It's only a matter of time before HIV, or whatever the new virus will be, results in the complete banishment of sexual intercourse, and the only way to create life is through a test tube.

Fair enough. Appreciate the dialogue. I don't agree with demonizing folks on either side of this or other issues.

That's pretty much always been the case. "You have the right to a free press as long as you own the press"

I wonder if the Catholic Vote would have a problem if the speaker were supporting gay marriage and the objector was against...

If it was at a Catholic College, or at any college where the doctrinal statements say its a no-no (BYU or Liberty come to mind), then yes, for the simple reason that the speaker should never should have been invited in the first place.

The same could be said if you had Jane Fonda give a keynote at a VFW convention. Somebody would raise holy heck.

Hopefully no one would think of trying to dictate to this gal who/what she can or can't marry.

My definition of marriage... being with the one you want to be with for the rest of your lives. For good and for bad.
