  • College Basketball 2012-2013: The Year of the Big Ten?

So, I couldn't find another thread for this year... Feel free to point me to it and I'll delete this one.

I'll start it off with this gem:

This is the graphic the BTN used to introduce the NDSU-UMN postgame show.

Classic.. Getting back the Final Five for their mistake, eh?

Fun year for the Hawkeyes. Much improved again, and should be in almost every game they play.

Screw the "getting back" idea. I think it's effing hilarious that UND gets confused with NDSU again. It's beyond hilarious.

I actually liked ESPN's highlight package of the game that night. I think it was Buccigross who said something like, "Minnesota and North Dakota State in Minneapolis. If we find a way to get rid of the "State", we'd have had a pretty good hockey game. But we get this", then moving onto the highlights (lowlights if you're unfortunate enough to be from the aggie school.)
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

It'll be even funnier when the NC$$ sends the NDSU Championship banner for this year's FCS playoffs to Grand Forks again.

What, this thread is nine posts in and not one mention of Indiana, Ohio State, Michigan or MSU from the Big Ten... or Duke, Kansas, Louisville etc.

                    But ...Iowa. Really??

Indiana University has a freshman center named Peter Jurkin.

The seven Big East teams without football (or non-BCS football) are reportedly going to form their own conference - Marquette, St. John's, Villanova, Georgetown, DePaul, Providence and Seton Hall.

I suppose it's too much to hope they name it "The Papal States"?

Creighton fans are hoping to get an invite to the new conference. Not sure it's in the cards, but like Nebraska and the Big Ten, we'd jump at the invite if offered.
