Now I fully expect some of you dinosaurs to post something about how Joe's All You Can Eat Chicken Shack in town reduced Betsy the Waitress from 35 hours to 29, which may or may not be due to Obamacare, but the problem with all of your anecdotes is that its undone by simple facts, sorta like how I torched the Regal Cinemas and the Darden Restaurants examples in an earlier post. Susan Collins and Joe Donnelly are wrong, simply put. Doesn't make them bad people. More like nervous nellies. . The law is in place and the savings are starting to be realized.

PS - In two financial companies I've worked for, "full time" was a 37.5 hour work week.

Reduction in health care costs for California... same boat as New York. Also, you may have "torched" two specific examples, but just like the hydra, once one head is cut off, three more grow. Keep trying to squash if you want, but one thing you must understand about "knuckledraggers" is that they're able to look beyond their own nose.

The law doesn't care what your full time was at a financial company. It is dictated as 30 hours.

The longer we put off admitting that Obamacare has been a complete failure and is bankrupting us, the more it's going to hurt when we finally do. The time to scrap this fiasco was before any of these layoffs started.

And yet, you're whining about people that actually are complying, just not in the method that huff-and-puffers wanted. You want a law? You got it, and everything that goes with it.

It's real easy to be generous with other people's money, I guess.

I've never eaten at that establishment ( a regional chain) and discourage my friends and family from doing so. They were pennywise and pound fools.

Also are you really arguing against the assertion that some businesses are cheapasses? The vast majority of companies are not going to be changing anything other than some paperwork due to the healthcare law. Most of those that do probably would've screwed over their employees anyway, this just gives them a nice excuse.

Because, as unofan clearly showed in the description of a busboy job at a restaurant, assuming that the customer base is not affected (dangerous assumption though, as Grover has claimed with Darden that it very well could be affected, although he didn't provide a source, but assume his claim for this tangent), the demand for labor will still be there, which means that they'll need to hire more people to cover the lost hours. Oh my gosh, you've just lowered unemployment! You begged the messiah dictator for jobs, and it looks like he just gave you some. Or is that not good enough? Is the beggar going to be a chooser?

I mean, he already told off that notorious knuckledragger, the Democrat Senator from IN, Joe Donnelly, and that paleolithic Olympia Snowe! Now labor union leaders are all knuckledraggers as well! wow. the whole country is becoming unlivable with so many Neanderthals emerging from hiding!

The Teamsters, now, they are right up there next to the Tea Party in how primitive they are! and those Electrical Workers, can't trust them at all now, can we?

The laborers union has added to organized labor’s drumbeat of dissatisfaction with the Affordable Care Act.

In a letter sent to President Barack Obama on Thursday, Laborers International Union of North America President Terry O’Sullivan wrote that the law has “destructive consequences” for the types of health plans that cover millions of unionized construction workers and their family members.

The letter follows a separate one written last week by the heads of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, the United Food and Commercial Workers and Unite Here, expressing similar concerns to Congress’s top Democrats, Sen. Harry Reid and Rep. Nancy Pelosi. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers took out print ads raising alarms about the law last week as well.

Despite being a gloating d-bag, Grover still has a point, though, in that this delay bill still has to be passed by both houses and either signed or overridden by both houses.

Maybe we should let these evil left-wingers (Obummer, Pelosi, Reid, Cuomo, Bloomberg, Emmanuel, Newsom, Brown, etc.) destroy the country, and then they might learn, when it comes time to start fresh, what mistakes not to make. This is not good.

Fifty-five working days before the launch of the ObamaCare health-insurance exchanges on Oct. 1, the administration published a 600-page final rule that employers, individuals and states are expected to follow in determining eligibility for millions of Americans.

If you get everything right the first time, that's 11 pages per day. If everything needs to be double-checked, that's 22 pages per day. We're not talking about merely reading them, it's deciphering them into action steps, translating them from jargon into language ordinary people can understand and follow, making sure everything is consistent with everything else (with PPACA that's nearly impossible, unfortunately).

A person who wants everyone vaccinated and warns of a fateful epidemic never wants to be right when his/her warnings are ignored and disaster strikes. PPACA implementation is going to be a disaster, and the only thing Oblamer cares about is mitigating political fallout for the 2014 mid-term elections.

Do any of the resident Obamaphiles want to defend the way that Congress is suddenly having the President exempt them from terms of PPACA despite clear statutory language to the contrary?

Are you guys really that comfortable with the executive branch re-writing statutes on its own, when that always has been reserved solely as a legislative power?

I'm completely on board as the GOP Congress is the worst in the history of the Republic. In that context I'd expect Obama to take action to govern while one party in one half of one third of the govt tries to hold everybody else hostage. Look, The Boner is impotent. No use waiting around for him to stiffen up his spine.

However, I sense the GOP isn't too bent out of shape over this as they were worried about losing their staff. From a party that calls for impeachment hearings when Obama forgets to pet stray dogs when he's on vacation, their silence is all you need to know.
