If you say that we are regurgitating their points, you must have enough knowledge on the subject that you actually listen to talk radio. Are you one of those right-wing-watchers, or just a troll?

The left has proven time and time again that they are the creators of political division in this country. The clear indicator of this, to me, is the War on Terror. Did you ever notice how they wanted to stop it until they got into power? Something tells me that they are obsessed with celebrity culture and want to make sure that their names are in the history books. The worst part of it, though, is that the GOP buys into it and does the exact same thing. Now you know why I say that there's no difference between the two parties.

I often listen to right wing talk radio to laugh my @ ss off. I have to say I'm rarely disappointed. I generally catch the evening yackers though so I don't catch whoever does their schtick to the layabouts during the day as I'm at work.

But to your point what completely disproves it is that the Patriot Act did have bipartisan votes for all its faults. What people like joecct and perhaps yourself won't admit is that the current GOP congress is dedicated to obstructionism at all costs (like a default of US debt). This is unprecedented but not without cost as the Republican brand now has the popularity of telemarketers and used car salesmen.

I did, but I'll disprove you even further. Obama has halted torture and stopped sending people to Gitmo. He's also pulled the US out of Iraq and is drawing down in Afghanistan. This is a signficant difference to what we would have gotten out of a Bush admin's third or fourth term (which you secretly pine for ). So, saying Obama has the same approach to the War on Terror is both intellectually dishonest and lazy.

I hate corporations, so I'm going to make sure the head of Raytheon is deciding what everything is done defense wise.

As usual none of your rant makes any sense. But that's cool. I'm sure you'll get you wish and see the libertarian Rand Paul as the 2016 GOP nominee. Just make sure to turn off your TV set the morning of election day so you don't have to see him give his concession speech which should delivered around lunchtime.

"both sides are bad, and so either (a) vote against the incumbent, it's time to clean house!, or (b) don't vote for a party affiliation, vote for a person (if available) in whom you have a modicum of confidence, or (c) become involved personally to advocate for what you believe (beyond posting on an internet message board)."

A word of friendly advice to people who currently are enrolled in a good health insurance plan with elective access to specialists: if you have any chronic or lingering health issues, make sure to see the specialist this year. No matter what the spin doctors or PPACA-apologists might try to tell you, there is a good chance it won't be available next year.

Buried in most stories you read about the exchanges are how they are trying to control costs by limiting access in their provider networks. Many of the exchange-based plans have fewer providers than currently-available plans. On top of that, many providers in those networks may not be accepting new patients.

A friend recently moved to Boston and she had a very difficult time finding a provider in her network that was accepting new patients, and even then she had a several-month wait before she could get her first checkup. Expect this divergence between theory and reality to become far more pronounced as we enter 2014.
