After a few early bumps, Sanchez has been more than adequate. Infante still scares me with the glove. I'm afraid every time he gets the ball on a potential double play, that he's going to fire it into the dugout.

Jackson did legitimately drive in the first run. They played for one run after that, and that's what they got. We'll see how that goes.

I've been pretty satisfied with what the Tigers have gotten out of Infante, and Sanchez for that matter. That seems like a rarity with a Tigers late season trade.

We're still scoring runs on smoke and mirrors. *shakes head*

It's not enough if we have to go to the bullpen.

Game on. Hang on to your asses, boys.

You know the rules. No censors, no holding back. You got something on your mind, out with it. It all plays tonight.

Not quite as bad as the Wings losing three straight, and a game seven at home to the Pens in 2008 Cup Final? They haven't had a sniff since...or the Pistons/Spurs in 2005?

C'mon guys you know what we have with this team. JV is either going to be brilliant and get no support, or get ripped after the Tigers have the lead. Either way, I think Hammer is right.

Absolutely sickening night. Twice as bad as a Tiger fan in New York. Three times as bad because I have tickets to games 2 and 6 if they play the Yankees. This bullpen has me nervous every pitch. If they somehow pull themselves together tonight (Verlander pitches lights out), I think its time to see how mentally tough Porcello is if they need someone to close out the game. Can he be any worse!

I know what's going to get the last outs of tomorrow's game: Grant Balfour.

I'd rather he punched Valverde in the face in the locker room tonight.

Verlander's pitch limit tomorrow is what, 150? Think he'll just punch Jimmy in the face if he tries to take him out?

And I thought the worst was past us when Benoit escaped the 8th inning without burning down everything between Oakland and Orange County.

Great. I think I just blew up the Tiger thread on Mgoblog, too.
