At least. I'm taking no chances.

Take it inning by inning. At 88, definitely another inning at least.

At what point is the lead big enough that you trust the bullpen enough to not completely gas Verlander?
I'm thinking at least a touchdown, maybe with the extra point. I'd ride him to at least 120 pitches to make certain, regardless.

88 through six. That equates to about 132 over 9.

All right, not conventional, but I'll take it, provided the big boy is okay.

And they're juiced. With Miggy up.

Oh, man, if there was ever a time...

    THANK YOU!!!

If I'm the A's, under no circumstances do I pitch to Cabrera the rest of the season if there is a base open.

1st and 3rd, 1 out. Please don't GIDP, Jackson. This is huge.

Either way, I don't think 2 runs is going to be enough, Verlander or no Verlander.

I'd seriously consider it. It's nice to make sure he's available for the ALCS, but let's make sure we get there first. I have no confidence whatsoever in Valverde, Coke, or Benoit if the **** hits the fan in the 8th inning or later.

Not much of a pitch count, but he wasn't throwing 150.

There shouldn't be much of a pitch count tonight. This is why you pay an ace $20 mil.

Huuuuuuge 5th inning for Verlander. That may have bought him an extra inning.
