No, nothing about a proxy. It looks like this error message, except it says "mail.google.com" rather than "www.google.com". All other Google services that I've tried (search, calendar, drive) still work normally.

(Occasionally Facebook is also affected.) This happens regardless of which browser I'm using - Firefox, Chrome, IE all the same. All other sites work as normal. Outlook accesses our Exchange server normally. Rebooting my system fixes the problem temporarily, but nothing else I've tried (releasing and renewing my IP address, clearing cookies or browser cache, turning off the Norton firewall, etc.) works. I updated my drivers but this does not solve the problem. Anyone have any idea what the issue here might be?

Did you unplug and plug in your computer? Have you tried restarting your computer? Are all the cables securely fastened?

If none of these work, I can transfer you to a Techie to help you with your issue.

Didn't go to school with her, and I don't list any work info. The only plausible answer is some sort of witchcraft.

I ordered a pair directly a couple of years ago. I don't remember the online experience. And since I generally get my panties in a twist over bad experiences, being unmemorable is probably the best that can be hoped for.
