I try to bring enough at the start for the next 4 weeks. Usually just stop in a walmart and grab the 10-packs and maybe some 4-packs. I have, however, ordered more when we get groceries, but I try to only do that when I absolutely need to.

AWESOME indeed. I had a full pot of coffee today. Would have had more, but my dietitian told me to eliminate the caffeine after noon.

When did Amazon change free shipping to $35 instead of $25?

Very recently, maybe in the past week or so? It doesn't bother me, as when I actually order from Amazon, it's well over that min price. I usually have a list built up over a couple months before I order.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Must've just happened in the past couple of weeks, that's the first I've heard of it. Frankly, a bit surprised it didn't happen sooner with ever-increasing shipping costs due to the price of fuel and labor.

It happened Monday, CNN even had a news article on the subject.

Yeah, its the same for me. I rarely order anything from Amazon where the total isn't higher than $50. I don't order just one item at a time, except for music mp3 downloads on my phone.

There's a website out there where you can find throwaway items like under a buck or so to meet the requirement if you're just short.
                    Code:
As of 9/21/10: As of 9/13/10:

So this makes no sense to me because I've never used Amazon. They charge money for free S&H? Is it a one-time charge and everything after that is free? Or do you get free S&H on orders over $35?

If your order is over $35, then the S&H fees are waived, under that amount you pay something like $4 or $5. They also offer an option where if you sign up for their prime membership, you pay an annual fee of ~$80 and then you get free two-day shipping for all orders, regardless of its dollar value. (The service also comes with a quasi-Netflix type service for their VOD and if you have a Kindle reader you get to make use of their lending library.)

The Amazon Prime is really nice, if you order enough stuff over the year to make the fee worth it. I've had a couple of free trials of the Prime, and I liked it a lot, but just not worth the fee to me.

I have it because I place orders from there all the time. I shop around on anything where I think could be cheaper elsewhere, but for the items I normally buy Amazon has been the spot. That and I'm willing to wait for a couple days for most things I buy. It's funny, but I've come to look at making purchases from Target as paying a premium for electronics and media, and those various sundries that aren't groceries.

Last night we had a girl in a hoodie and jeans for trick or treating. My roommate answers the door and comes back complaining about the girl's costume. All I could think of at the time was, "Well, did you offer her a bag of skittles?"

Maybe she was going as Trayvon Martin. Was she wearing blackface?
