Question about the Mighty Ducks, and I know this is 20 years too late: How does the Bombay penalty shot situation make sense? Unless I'm mistaken a good goal equals a win, and a miss equals a loss. I don't believe there is any possible situation in which that could arise. The championship is a single game, so there's no room for weird home/away aggregate scoring, and they specifically say for a chance to win the game, so it doesn't sound as if they're losing with a chance to send it to OT.

There are plenty of things wrong with that movie. Like Fulton Reed being on the team when he's from Stillwater.

You're pointing out a plot hole in a movie where they have a shot called "The knucklepuck"
        Jordan Kawaguchi for Hobey!!

Technically that was the next movie

And I just thought of something. The Ducks finished in the final playoff spot, while the Hawks were first. If the "league" is the entire state, then they should face off in the first round. If the league is just the Minneapolis area, well, then there should be a league champion who goes onto play the other league champions. Either way, the Ducks and Hawks should meet well before the State Finals.

Ok, now I will stop before moving on to the faults in D2 and D3.

Related: New Hope Ice Arena (located in New Hope MN), which was featured in the Mighty Ducks, has been renovated and is reopening.

I still laugh when I see some former HS classmates in the crowd shots; the movie sent out flyers asking for extras to show up for the movie.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

              American History X is on.

If you haven't seen it, you really should. Powerful movie.

And Norton's Rodney King rant/that whole scene sounds much saner that it really is. Which is really f*ing scary. That's how good the writing is in this movie.

As over-rated as Fight Club. Sorry.

Can I ask you why? I can understand why people think Fight Club was overrated (I thought it was very good, and a positive movie, but not OMGWTeFFBBQAWESOME).

F Modano. I got him so mad at me once. After a game, as a kid, I was hanging out waiting for autographs outside the stadium. When I asked him for his auto (acting serious, waiting to hassle him in reality), he asked, "Do you know who I am?" (honest question, wanted to truly find out if I was a fan of him, or just an autograph hound), I said, "Yeah, and you're a pretty boy prima donna. What's with the hair, you forget your hair dryer at home?"

Oh man, was he p*ssed. He threw down my pen and program and stormed off.

The ending is total crap, and the family trauma and the interactions with the police are copletely contrived. I don't buy for one second the transition of the violent criminal changing his stripes. Give me School Daze - which has its own flaws - for more truly expressing what someone wrestling with such demons ulitimately chooses.

It was powerful and sure as heck was shocking, but for the same reasons Danny Trejo bores me so did that movie.

I agree. Someone that grows up with a parent with those views and completely buys into them doesn't change their mind. Especially after doing time in prison.
