That's it. Nothing more. What next? Calling someone "four-eyes," "Fatty McFatterson," or whatever?
Actually, there is a movement afoot to get the word "fat" tossed from our vocabulary as a hurtful insult to "heavy-set" people....did you know that apparently calling teen-age girls "fat" is now causing them to commit suicide?

        Sounds pretty gay to me.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

"Blonde" stereotypically implies "dumb/ditzy." They prefer you use the term "brunette-challenged."

                      Just don't do it.

"The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command." George Orwell, 1984

"One does not simply walk into Mordor. Its Black Gates are guarded by more than just Orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep, and the Great Eye is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire and ash and dust, the very air you breathe is a poisonous fume." Boromir

A non-issue, IMHO. I've used to use that word in like manner in years past, but I can see their point in that there is absolutely no need to be inconsiderate of the unfortunate, however indirectly and unintentional. Times change, and people adapt with changes in society's norms. Many people are unable or unwilling to adapt, but they eventually die off - it's their own problem, anyhow. They can be as coarse as they want, and society judges them accordingly. But carry on.

Edit: it did take me some effort to discontinue using that term as disparaging. All you have to do is find a substitute word that does not insult anyone

I get that red hair isn't red, but it also isn't the color of ginger.
