    I love Cap'n Kirk but he came pretty close when the Giants were in town. On one play he misplayed the fly going back, reached out and had it go off his glove, then dropped it when he tried to rush picking it up. His throw in was good, but if it had missed the cutoff I'd say that would have been the equivalent of touching em all.

    An inning for the ages tonight at Coors. We make 4 errors en route to Colorado scoring 11 runs (ties the Mets records for both) in the 5th, beating us 18-9.

    Line score for the game:

    Mets 9 17 6
    Col 18 19 1

    I texted a few of my buddies following Monday night's win over the Braves, "Can we just play Atlanta every game this season?"

    and then last night happened to make me eat crow with Johan getting blasted and not making it out of the second inning.
