I don't know if it works intentionally.

Can't hurt, though... right? No worse than Marcum.

No congrats from me. Classless jerks like LaRussa don't ever get well wishes from me.

May Texas sweep that irritating team.

I won't watch a single pitch of the World Series. As far as I'm concerned the baseball season ended about 30 minutes ago. I do hope to hear about a Rangers sweep with big wins in every game.

I agree. No way I'd congratulate Tony LaRussa.

                      Never works intentionally.

Fox is thanking their lucky stars today, though. Texas/Milwaukee would have threatened to be a ratings floor. This won't be a WS for the ages as ratings go, but St. Louis at least has a pretty widely cast fanbase.

It could end up being a very entertaining series. I am not sure how many fans were rooting against a Phillies-Yankees series but from much of the posting on this board there were a lot of them. I am not basically a baseball fan but if had to choose, would usually root for an NL team since i am one of those traditionalists who likes baseball the old fashioned way without a DH.
