As you know, my wife has a Sonata, and loves it. Her's was not built in Alabama, her's is straight from Korea. They don't build the hybrids in the same plant, I believe.

All I know is I'm closer to my MDX than ever. I've got my plan figured out. Now I just need to schedule the test drive and start working the dealers against themselves.

The only pause I would have with buying an Acura is that a coworker of mine had an MDX - 2003 or 2004. The Check Engine or Service Engine light would come on when the vehicle hit 60k. He took it to the dealership to get it checked, the dealership said that the light comes on as a service reminder. I wouldn't like to have such a notice kick out at me just for a reminder to have normal maintenance performed.

That's fairly minor. I'm almost certain that hasn't been a feature for a few years based on a quick search of the intarwebs. Sounds like they have a different notice now.

My 2001's TL had a Maintenance Required light that would come on. It was right next to the check engine light and could have been easily mistaken for it, but technically a different alert.

Does anybody have a recent model Forester? I had a 2003 which I loved, and Dr. Mrs. is starting to get pretty annoyed at our Honda Fit (with its scooter battery and Tonka toy-like acceleration). I have virtually no interest in cars, but even I get a little turned on by the tech on the recent Foresters.

Friend in AK bought one. Roomy as heck, surprisingly quick, and pretty darn good fuel economy.

Here's the Cliff's notes version of the 2016 model review. On that page is a link to a full review. Edmunds has great content for researching vehicles, all professionally reviewed and unbiased. I do believe the 2015 model won some awards, but that might have been the 2014 model.

Yeah, assuming they haven't ruined them (always possible, but at least not an American company which would have guaranteed it), the line as a whole is wonderful. I'm looking for some insight on say 2012 and later.

It's worse than that. The one we had was hunter green (75% of all vehicles in OR are hunter green).
