From my perspective, booing is just the voicing of displeasure by fans. It's hard to cheer a guy whose batting average resembles a Bingo number. It's been going on for over 100 years in this game. Personally, I don't take anything more than that out of it. *shrug*

As for the offense, I think we're just pressing. We're gonna be fine, I think. Once we get past the end of next week, the schedule gets much easier through Memorial Day, even though we're on the road an awful lot.

I would have to agree with this. Hell, no need to really get all that worried until its 40 games in. Its a long season everybody. The schedule lightens up a little by then, Inge is quietly shipped off to a glue factory in Toledo, and the weather gets nicer as well.

I think booing is OK. Even if you are booing the home team. They are getting paid to do a job, when they fail to do it, they should hear about it.

Some just fail a lot more than others.

I'll reiterate: go 4-3 the last 7 games of the month and the Tigers go 14-9.Very doable considering that the Pil err, the Mariners are coming in and the Yankees pitching
is hopefully gonna wake the bats up.

Texas beat up the pitching in 2 of the games, but I thought Smyly was good yesterday and JV was money. Should have split, but we don't have the back end depth Texas does with their pitching staff.

BTW- Detroit stands 5th in fielding % in the A.L and 10 of 14 in batting average in the A.L.

As to fielding percentage, a big meh to that. It's higher because no one on the roster has range. On balls put into play, the Tigers are 29th at .677 of them leading to outs. .700 is considered "average" defense and Toronto leads at .765.
