I couldn't find the old thread about Wisconsinites over-indulging, but I think some alcohol might have been consumed here.

How the hell does a drunk person manage to tackle a deer? Seriously. I can't imagine a sober person being able to do that! And then to be able to hold the deer down while a buddy puts a t-shirt on it! I don't even see how that is possible. But, if there was a video of it, I suppose it was possible.

He'd indicated in the past that becoming mayor was high on his agenda. If there is a more obnoxious major pol around, I'd like to know who it is.

                Now this is just bizarre....

Is this what psychologists call "projection" (though I may be wrong about the term and am describing something else instead): one person has a situation-specific bad experience and then sees that experience in all sorts of other situations that don't really fit the original situation except in a very superficial way.

there's no doubt that the female student did suffer some kind of serious trauma, and one feels bad for her. at the same time, to act out in this manner?? doesn't she realize how she is taking a serious problem and making it sound trivial? which is just the opposite of what she wants??

Why do children who get abused grow up to be abusers? The mind works in funny ways.

still, it says something unsettling about today's society that the author in the link had to make it clear that he was being satirical, even though he is writing a comedy blog from the outset anyway!

Note from the author: Although this article bears an uncanny resemblance to certain recent events, it is entirely satirical in nature. The author is not aware of any plans to legislate the francization of alphabet pasta.

Good satire will always have the air of believability to it.

Making a joke about ovens and Jews in Poland...probably a bad idea.
