Afghan President Hamid Karzai Calls USMC Video 'Deeply Disturbing,' 'Inhuman'

The President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai, spoke out today about a video that purportedly shows U.S. Marines urinating on the corpses of suspected Taliban fighters, calling the incident "inhuman."

"The Government of Afghanistan is deeply disturbed by a video that shows American soldiers desecrating dead bodies of three Afghans," Karzai said in a statement, referring to the Marines. "This act by American soldiers is simply inhuman and condemnable in the strongest possible terms. We expressly ask the U.S. government to urgently investigate the video and apply the most severe punishment to anyone found guilty in this crime."

Can somebody contact Jimmy and send him to Iran to get the dude released and see how all that wonderful post-Shah freedom stuff worked out?

Yep: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2...s-graphic.html . From back in 2010. This military one is new, I think.

    I cut $1.029 trillion.

Basically, cut everything except benefits for military personnel.

But, Dr. Falken, the only way to win is not to play the game....

Edit: I got to $462 billion

    Freeze Civilian pay
Cut 15% of the ground forces
Cut 20% of the civilian workforce (attrition only - may not make the target that way)
    Reduce navy ship buying
    Cancel next generation stealth bomber
    Eliminate nuclear bombers
Reduce military personnel in Europe / Asia to 100,000
    Audit the Pentagon
    Scale back the bands

I'd also find a way to cut back the number of generals / admirals.

Looks like it was Iranian electronic warfare. in this case spoofing GPS. Isn't that the reason why Star Fleet didn't use drone technology in the 23rd century (easily jammed, spoofed). or was it M5 going haywire

Basically you can't trust what anyone says, especially the government officials (including ours). And I would take any news story with big grain of salt. I still remember CNN/yahoo printing a story on Merton flying car, apparently without any research or background history.

    http://news.yahoo.com/exclusive-iran...164100415.html
Iranian electronic warfare specialists were able to cut off communications links of the American bat-wing RQ-170 Sentinel, says the engineer, who works for one of many Iranian military and civilian teams currently trying to unravel the drone’s stealth and intelligence secrets, and who could not be named for his safety
