There's so much wrong floating around that whole deal. Josh has his head up his butt... but of course Derrick wants to lose his gasket at anything that doesn't breathe right.

It just blows my mind that those punks have the gall to talk to a guy that has been running a boat out there for 27 years the way they do. You could see that Sig and Jonathan agreed by their posture.

I agree. Those two are the wrong mix altogether. Derrick may be a good captain for someone's boat, but not for the CM. Josh also has a lot of growing up to do.

Yeah, I had to stop watching when Josh started talking about what a loser Derrick was. I don't expect the show to give him a fair shake - Discovery knows they need to make the Harris boys happy and Derrick isn't part of the show anymore. Sig isn't going to criticize what's happening on another boat, and Keith and the Hillstrand brothers are probably already angling for their share of the quota when the CM goes belly up.

I found it more telling that he disappeared before they got into it with Derrick. For all we know they already had a take where Johnathan lit into Josh or something along those lines. Either way, I have to imagine he didn't want to be there for that.

I think they just tricked Sig into hugging Edgar on camera.

Okay, that came out of nowhere. And I'm glad Nick fits under the bus that Sig just threw him under.

Haha that was hilarious. It really sucks to be Nick right now. Edgar probably would have trouble with this years opie weather. Keith is right by saying a person should start with king crab.

If I'm Derrick, the reply is simple:

"Okay. Fine. I'm out of the picture. Since you're the bosses, and you've got all the answers, you two shouldn't have any problem at all getting that boat running like a top in no time. I'd wish you luck, but apparently you don't need it."

Unless that boat had one helluva Opilio season, they're in more trouble than anyone's letting on. Freddie's comment when joining the Wizard about taking less money the last few years on the CM was quite telling.

Did Derrick make mistakes? You're darn right he did. As I said before, not canning that idiot engineer is at the top of the list. The more I think about it, the more I think he was a good part of the problem on the boat. And once he smelled weed on Jake, he should have taken Josh into the captain's bunk, away from cameras, and explained to him the situation, and the possible consequences for the boat. If Josh has an issue at that point, it's time for Derrick to walk away. The conversation between Jake, Josh, and Derrick about Phil doing the boys a major disservice, while true, also should have happened between closed doors, and with more tact.

                          Derrick is not very...couth

BTW either they were playing it up for the cameras or the boys need to seek some therapy for their daddy issues. Someone saying that in his opinion their dad didnt prepare them for running the boat (and I love Phil but he didnt) is not ripping said person.

I also found it interesting when Derrick explained how Blue Crab was not his call and pretty much seemed to invalidate how the show portrayed how everything went down. Also, it was pretty obvious no one was on the side of the Harris boys, even the cameraman from the CM.

Oh and Edgar dropping the "I want to be captain for Opillio" was awesome. Sig froze for a second

I think someone needs to get the boys' attention and pop the titty out of their mouths. Do you remember Josh's comment about "giving up my party life to spend the summer on this boat"? Hey, bud. You're a part owner now. You're grown. Your father is gone now, but he left you a ton of potential in the form of that boat. It's time to be a man now. Daddy ain't there to provide for you anymore.

And for the record I don't think Phil did them any favors, at least from what we've seen.
