If you're looking for a way to help ...

To raise awareness and funds, Mandi's Yale teammate Samantha MacLean is biking 500 miles, from Toronto to New Haven, starting Aug. 22. Samantha has a website where people can donate to Mandi's cause:

There was an updated note in one of the Regina papers on Sept 2:

                            http://www.leaderpost.com/health/Man...221/story.html

The article commented that once they start the transplant procedures, the process/prep takes up to 10 days. This means that there might be little news for a while. Lets hope for the best.

I spoke briefly witth Hilary Witt this past weekend and she said she had spoken recently to Mandi's dad. The Lung infection is just another low on the roller coaster ride Mandi and her family has been through this past year and hopes are that they can get the infection cleared up quickly and move on with the procedure. Hilary reported that even with this minor setback both Mandi and her family are in good spirits and looking toward the day they can put this all behind them.

                              Godspeed Mandi...
