ECAC Women's Pick the Standings 2024-25

This has been done with the ECAC and Atlantic Hockey men for years and wondered if anyone would be interested to do it here?

If so, make sure to get your picks in. I know this will be starting late, but there are only a few games in the can.

Just rank your teams from 1 to 12 in how you feel they will finish the regular season.

Copy and paste this list, keeping them in alphabetical order, and provide the ranking you think each team will end the regular season. Just replace the alphabetical order number with your predicted ranking:

1 - Brown
2 - Clarkson
3 - Colgate
4 - Cornell
5 - Dartmouth
6 - Harvard
7 - Princeton
8 - Quinny
9 - RPI
10 - SLU
11 - Union
12 - Yale


Scoring is fairly simple. In short, you will receive a score based on the square of the distance from your picks to the actual standings (e.g., if you pick a team in 4th but they finish in 7th, you get (7-4)² or 9 points). Sum those up for the twelve ECAC teams and you'll have a score between 0 and 572. The entrant with the lowest score will be our winner.

Tie breakers are:
Pick correctly the ECACHL Regular Season Champ.
Have the most teams in the correct order of finish.
Have the most top 6 teams in the correct order of finish.
I will flip a coin.

PRIZE: Your name will be included in next year's Title of the competition as the defending champion

This is difficult. You may note a Bulldog leaning in my pick. I think that Union is taking a moderate step up this year and that Cornell will improve as the year goes on.
